Discover the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) by Cricket Wireless, a key initiative bridging the digital divide by providing affordable internet to low-income households in the U.S.

The Essence Of Cricket Wireless ACP

Cricket Wireless is a prominent participant in the ACP program. The program is designed to cater to low-income earners or individuals participating in government assistance programs. Eligible participants can enjoy substantial monthly discounts, making digital connectivity more accessible.

Residents in Non-Tribal lands can enjoy discounts of up to $30 per month, while those residing on Tribal lands in the United States can benefit from a monthly discount of up to $75. Besides these discounts, participants also stand a chance of receiving a one-time discount of up to $100 for a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer. This initiative ensures that the financial burden of acquiring these devices doesn't strain the budget of low-income households.

The Cricket Wireless ACP goes beyond providing discounts. It also offers a low-cost service plan that the program can fully cover, leading to significant savings on communication costs. Ultimately, the program is a significant step towards bridging the digital gap between the haves and the have-nots in the United States.

Cricket Wireless EBB vs. Cricket Wireless ACP

The Cricket Wireless ACP is not the first program of its kind. Before its inception, there was the Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) program, initiated in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The EBB program continued until 31st December 2021, after which the ACP was launched.

Those who enjoyed the benefits of the EBB program continued to do so until March 1st, 2022, when their billing cycle was renewed. From then onwards, residents in Non-tribal lands who used to enjoy a discount of $50 from the EBB program started receiving $30 per month. However, those residing in Tribal lands and receiving monthly discounts of up to $75 continued to enjoy the same discount even after the launch of the ACP program.

The main differences between these two programs lie in their rollout timelines, the respective discounts for those residing on Non-Tribal lands, and the enrollment requirements.
